Annan is about 5 miles from the cottage.  

The Annan site has information on activities in the area, eg. Walking, Birdwatching, Fishing, Golf, Cycling.

Annan The History Town may also be of interest.

Lockerbie is about 10 miles from the cottage.  It does not have its own website (at the moment) but the VisitScotland website may be useful.

If you are interested in a Gretna Green wedding, try Anvil Hall Wedding Venue.  Bonshawbrae is about 7 miles north of Gretna.

For a lovely wedding venue about a mile from the cottage there is Bonshaw Tower.
